Born in California, Robert Black is an award-winning Canadian poet who resides in Toronto, Canada. Having lived in seven countries including part of his childhood and adulthood in Taiwan, his work often focuses on bifurcated identity and the rootlessness of language. His poetry and short stories have been published in the US, Canada, France, Russia, Spain, Argentina, UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia. His debut book A Bedlam of Stars will be published by UK-based press The Poetry Lighthouse in 2027. He is currently working on a second collection of poetry and a novel.
