Brian Washines

Brian Washines is a member of the Yakama Nation, who grew up in Toppenish, WA, for the first thirty years of his life, and though he started out loving to art and drawing he started reading and writing copiously before moving to the Seattle area to earn a degree in Digital Media Production where he worked on several local independent projects as a co-screenwriter. Kept alive by temporary warehouse work, he continues writing short stories, submitting them, and working on multiple novels. His work has appeared in Stoneboat, Rowayat, and Blood+Honey.
