I am La Piccioletta Barca’s head of publicity! My primary responsibility is the Newsletter, though I lend a hand in other facets of the magazine where I can, such as working on the podcast and helping with some of the outreach! I find working with the LPB team to be the most enjoyable and fun part of my experience, and am humbled to call myself part of it!
If I were to share an under-appreciated piece of art with the world, I’d share Winslow Homer’s Cavalry Soldier with Sword on Horseback drawing. I’m very much drawn to the piece as a fan of American history but more-so for the easily-missed detail of the sketch. I admire Homer and his work, and am fascinated by the observable history in his art, witnessing his years of service through the work completed during the American Civil War.
I have only recently entered the creative arts world as a contributor, beginning to write short fiction and one biographical essay. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelors degree in Criminology, and outside the creative arts world I enjoy camping, reading, and spending time with my wife, Julie!
