Chesterton Road Memoirs

Felix Tavchandjian

In the morning
I wave goodbye to my brother death
He blows me a kiss
And so, each day, I run

Sunrise on Abergavenny, Wales

Standing on the edge of water
Under a clear night sky
I look down from my diving board
And jump into the universe

The River Great Ouse in frost, near Littleport

There is no one else
Not a single breath to be heard
Yet I share mine with the valley
And the trees
And the rivers
And the birds
So that on my last exhale
I can rest assured
That I was never alone

Sunset on Crickhowell, Wales
